Fitness - Programs to help you stay in shape

Winter sessions will be held for 4 weeks at our Rec Center sites (Guerin Rec, Sayre Morris Rec, and Simons Rec) and will meet once a week for group exercise.  Up to three family members are invited to attend with each Philly Girl!

FALL/SPRING PROGRAMS

In the fall and the spring, Philly Girls in Motion holds sessions twice a week for an 8-week program period.  One session includes running/walking and a nutrition/healthy habits workshop.  The other session is a group exercise class like yoga, Zumba, cardio kickboxing, strength/boot camp, Flip Fitness or another like activity.

Nutrition - Programs to teach you how to eat healthy

Activities that are scheduled include:

  • Short, specially designed learning activities before each scheduled workout that teach a nutritional lesson and encourage better food choices
  • Healthy Habits discussions

Family Sessions - Programs to help you manage your busy family

Monthly Family Workshops that teach relevant topics such as Healthy Meals on the Go, Simple Substitutions, Shopping on a Budget, Fitness for the Family and cooking demonstrations.

Also, families are invited to join in on the Saturday Run/Walk Club sessions at each site.
